Danielle McLaughlin & Giovanna Granato: The Art of Falling in Italian

The Art of Falling is Danielle McLaughlin's debut novel. Danielle is also the author of the acclaimed short story collection Dinosaurs on Other Planets. Her stories have appeared in the New Yorker, the Stinging Fly, and various anthologies. She has won many awards for her work, including the Audible Short Story Award.

Giovanna Granato started to work as a freelance literary translator in 1995 and since then she has translated some of the most important English speaking modern authors, including Edna O’Brien, Colm Tóibín, Flannery O’Connor, Norman Mailer, Graham Greene, Katherine Anne Porter, Martin Amis, Tim Parks, Alan Hollinghurst, David Foster Wallace, Dave Eggers, Jennifer Egan, Richard Powers among many others. She is now working at the translation of Virginia Woolf’s Complete Diary, and she teaches Literary Translation at the Holden School in Turin.
