To support its promotion of Irish books and writers around the world, Literature Ireland produces a range of print and online materials. These are circulated both online and at book fairs and at other key international literature and translation events.
Blúiríní (Irish for little snippets) is a video series featuring Irish writers and their latest books. The series offers an insight into Irish writers’ work spaces and home places.
The annual New Writing from Ireland catalogue brings together an Irish writer and a translator for each episode, sharing stories from one language to another.
Talking Translations is a podcast which brings together an Irish writer and a translator for each episode, sharing stories from one language to another.
Our online Translation Directory provides a comprehensive and exclusive listing of the books that Literature Ireland has supported in translation since 1995.
We have produced three series of author portraits which provide a cross-section of images of contemporary Irish authors with beautiful black and white photographs by the acclaimed photographers Richard Gilligan and John Minihan.
Other publications include occasional essays commissioned to support special initiatives in key territories, including an essay on contemporary Irish literature by Claire Kilroy and an introduction to Irish children’s writing by Siobhán Parkinson.
