The Secret of the Ruby Ring
Lucy, a rather spoiled eleven-year-old, gets a birthday present of a ruby ring. Inside the little box in which it comes is a message: 'The secret of this Ruby Ring
is that two wishes it can bring.' Lucy twists the ring and makes her first wish. It comes true, but she finds herself transported back in time, to the Ireland of 1885.
The Secret of the Ruby Ring is the enthralling story of a girl caught between two worlds - her own world of today and that of the Ireland of the Land League, evictions, boycotting and Charles Stewart Parnell.
