Bedbound

Enda Walsh

Bedbound was first produced at the Dublin Theatre Festival in 2000. In it, a father and a daughter share a small bed. While he talks frantically about his extraordinary past in furniture sales, she talks no less compulsively about anything at all to fill the terrible silence in her head. Everything is frantic and broken and ugly because they can't stop talking. If only they could stop and sleep.
