Sam Millar was born in Belfast and is an Irish playwright and bestselling crime fiction writer. On the Brinks tells the story of his incredible life before turning to writing which included several stints in prison, twice for his involvement with the IRA and once in connection with a multi-million heist on the armoured vehicles of Brinks Security in the United States. After 15 months Bill Clinton allowed him to return to Northern Ireland and finish out the remaining time of his sentence there.
