Leland Bardwell

Leland Bardwell (née Hone) was born in India of Irish parents and brought to Ireland at the age of two. She has published numerous poetry collections, novels, plays - both for radio and the stage - and a musical about Edith Piaf. Bardwell's latest book is a memoir, Reckless Lives (2008). In 1993 she received the Martin Toonder Award. She is a co-editor of the long-running literary magazine, Cyphers, and a member of Aosdána. Bardwell lives in County Sligo.
