Conor Kostick

Conor Kostick was born in Cheshire where, aged 19, he helped design the world's first live fantasy role-playing game, Treasure Trap, at Peckforton Castle. A graduate of Trinity College, Dublin, he lectures in the university's History Department. Kostick has written and edited several historical works, among them Revolution in Ireland (1996), The Easter Rising, A Guide to Dublin in 1916 (2000), and Irish Writers against War (2003). However, he is best known for the bestselling fantasy, Epic (2004), and its sequel, Saga (2006), both set in the virtual reality of New Earth where a computer game has become a matter of life and death. Kostick has more recently published The Book of Curses (2007) and is working on his next title.
