Literature Ireland in partnership with the Centre for Literary Translation, is hosting a translation slam!

Literary translators Lisa Dillman and Daniel Hahn have been given a Spanish-language text to translate into English. The original text and the English translations will be supplied to all members of the audience. Crucially, neither translator has seen the other's work.

Author and journalist Paddy Woodworth will chair the slam and lead the conversation about the translation choices which Lisa and Daniel have made. Join us to participate in the discussion, offer translation choices of your own or simply to enjoy the debate!
