Woman and Scarecrow premiered at the Royal Court Theatre, London, on 21 June 2006. Woman, mother of eight children, lies dying and rages against a life spent caring for others and dealing with an unfaithful husband. On the threshold of death, her last wish is to return west in the hope of finding there some respite or moment of grace.
