The Rage

Gene Kerrigan

The years of plentiful money and a prosperous Ireland have ended abruptly with the bursting of the housing bubble. Bob Tidey , an honest cop who still patrols the streets of Dublin despite more than twenty years spent on the force investigates connections between the murder of a corrupt banker and a petty criminal . Shortly after leaving prison, Vincent Naylor, former henchman of a local mobster, is preparing a coup for which he is ready to risk everything . The nun Maura Coady, withdrawn and haunted by remorse and bad memories, sees something that can not be ignored through the window of her house ; when she gives her information to Tidey, a wave of rage and blind violence is unleashed, touching the lives of all the characters. 'The Rage' has been widely praised; Metro wrote: "Kerrigan's bruising depiction of Dublin's underbelly is wrought with hard-boiled lyricism".
