David Park

David Park was born in Belfast and works as a schoolteacher in County Down. His novels include The Healing, The Rye Man, Stone Kingdoms, The Big Snow and Swallowing the Sun. The latter was shortlisted for the 2005 Hughes & Hughes/Sunday Independent Novel of the Year Award. Park has also written one volume of short stories, Oranges from Spain. His latest novel, The Truth Commissioner, was published to critical acclaim in 2008.
